Client Portal Access
Our client portal is where you’ll upload documents, review drafts, sign returns, and message us directly.
Accessing the Portal: Client Portal Login
Getting Started:
- You’ll receive an email invitation to activate your account.
- Log in and create a password.
- Once signed in, you’ll find a navigation bar with Home, Docs, Requests, Chats, Organizers, Proposals & Engagement Letters, and Billing.
- You may also find it helpful to download the mobile app, which allows you to take photos of documents for direct upload and use the chat feature conveniently from your phone.
The portal works on both desktop and mobile devices, allowing you to securely send or review items anywhere.
Engagement and Payment Information
Each tax engagement begins with an engagement letter outlining the scope of services and fees.
- A $250 deposit is required to begin work and is applied toward your final invoice or extension fee.
- Invoices are due upon receipt. Returns are not released or filed until payment is made.
If you have any billing or scope-related questions, please message us directly through your client portal so everything is documented in one place.
Organizers
Once your engagement letter is signed and your $250 deposit is received, you’ll automatically receive a digital Smart Organizer. Completion of the Organizer is required before we begin preparing your return. It ensures that all necessary information and documents have been provided so your file is complete and ready for review.
The Organizer’s questions adjust dynamically based on your answers. For example, if you indicate you’re married, we’ll ask about your spouse. If not, those questions will be skipped.
Your answers are automatically saved and retained for future years, allowing your next year’s Organizer to pre-fill with existing information. You’ll only need to update any changes.
The Organizer will guide you through uploading most of your information using its built-in upload tools. Any additional documents can be uploaded to your current-year folder: Client Uploads → TY2025
Once you’ve completed and submitted the Organizer, it will notify our office that your file is ready and add you to our workflow queue for preparation.
Uploading Documents
When uploading files, please:
- Combine related documents into one PDF where possible (for example, all W-2s together).
- Label files clearly (examples: W2_EmployerName.pdf or 1099_Int_BankName.pdf).
- Avoid emailing sensitive tax information.
- Upload summaries and year-end reports instead of individual receipts whenever possible.
If you’re unsure where to upload something, that’s okay. Send us a chat message in the portal and attach the files. We’ll make sure they’re moved to the appropriate folder.
E-Signatures
When your return is complete and ready for review, you’ll receive a chat message in your Client Portal along with your invoice.
- Once your invoice is paid in full, we will provide a draft copy of your return for review.
- You may also request a short virtual meeting to review your draft return, discuss your results, and address any questions or adjustments before final approval.
- After you’ve approved the return, we will send your electronic signature pages through the portal for completion.
- Once the required signature forms are signed, we will immediately file your return and confirm electronic acceptance.
All e-signatures are encrypted and fully compliant with IRS e-file authorization standards.
